Intona (the "App") is an AI-powered pronunciation coaching app developed by Cloud Dream. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Data We Collect
Audio Recordings. When you practice, the App captures your voice recordings so we can analyze pronunciation and generate feedback. Recordings may be processed and stored temporarily as needed to provide the service.
Practice Data. We store pronunciation scores, feedback results, practice history, and attempt counts so you can review progress over time.
Device and App Identifiers. We generate or maintain an anonymous identifier to associate your practice data with your device or app installation. We do not require your name or email address to use the App.
Synced Content. Saved items may sync through services available on your device, such as iCloud, if you choose to enable that functionality.
Support Communications. If you contact us, we may retain the information you provide so we can respond to your request and manage support issues.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide pronunciation analysis, feedback, and model audio
- Maintain your practice history, streaks, and saved progress
- Operate, secure, and improve the App
- Respond to support requests and service issues
3. Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to host the App, store data, process audio, provide AI-assisted feedback, support optional sync features, and help secure or maintain the service. These providers may process data on our behalf only as needed to deliver the App's functionality.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
4. Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data processed through the App. Data may be transmitted over secure connections and stored only for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
5. No Account Required
You can use Intona without creating an account. Unless you voluntarily contact us or use device-level sync features, we generally do not ask for direct personal identifiers such as your name or email address.
6. Analytics and Advertising
Intona does not use advertising networks to monetize the App. We also do not use third-party analytics or tracking technologies for cross-app or cross-site advertising purposes.
7. Microphone Permission
The App requires microphone access to record your pronunciation for analysis. Audio is captured only when you actively start a recording session. The App does not record in the background.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Audio recordings may be retained temporarily for processing and quality of service purposes. Practice data may be retained to support progress tracking until it is deleted or reset. If the App provides a reset or deletion control, using that feature will remove associated progress data from the App's active records, subject to limited backup or legal retention needs.
9. Children's Privacy
Intona is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will review the request.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
